Newcastle Magician

Last night I was working at the Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel in Newcastle for a dental conference. There were about 100 people there and there was also another function (a black tie dinner with a pirate theme!) going on in another function room. This reminded me of the story that I heard of the close up magician who was booked for an event at one of the larger hotels. He turned up, introduced himself to the staff and then proceeded to start mixing with the guests only to find out about an hour in that he was at the right hotel but the wrong event! The moral of this story? None really, but it’s kind of amusing.
