Road warrior

So I am back at home, sat at my desk with a cup of tea after five very busy days where I visited Sheffield, Leeds, Leicestershire, Sussex, Surrey and Newbury! Thankfully all fairly uneventful apart from me booking a hotel to stay in that was directly under the flight path at Gatwick airport…oops! Thankfully, the planes don’t tend to land after a certain time at night so was able to get a good night’s kip. My job on Sunday saw me back at Highclere Castle in Newbury. It’s not long since I was last there - July I think. They seem to like me there and keep recommending me to their customers which is great as it’s such a classy venue and the events there are always run very smoothly. I was working alongside two people I have met a few times before, Jim Naylor the caricaturist and Charles Burns the silhouette artist. Charles is pretty amazing, he cuts a silhouette of someone in about 60 seconds and it’s a perfect likeness. He is like Edward Scissorhands, although much posher, and not as troubled.

I thought about writing a post about spending time on the road and some of the tips I have picked up. Hopefully will get round to doing that fairly soon.
