Two magic shows in one night - 27 June 2011 @ The Wickham Theatre, Bristol
Hello! Myself and Alan Hudson are previewing our shows in Bristol and we'd like you to come. Tickets are cheap as it's a preview and we'll be ironing out a few wrinkles...
MONDAY 27 JUNE 2011 - 7.30PM
Rob James: "Magicana"
Rob James is a professional magician from Bristol. In his career he has performed magic at in excess of 1500 events across the UK and worldwide in Dubai, Egypt and at the Magic Castle in Hollywood as well as on BBC Worldwide, the Discovery Channel and on Channel Four. Rob is a winner of multiple awards for sleight-of-hand magic and has been one of the most in-demand performers for corporate and private events in the UK for the last 10 years.
An elegant and captivating recreation of some classics of magic, ranging from beguiling sleight-of-hand and impossible mind-reading through to rarely-seen yet ingenious magical apparatus - all presented with flair, humour and style.
As part of the show see the original version of the famous “orange tree” effect, romanticised in the movie “The Illusionist”. Not to be missed!

Alan Hudson: "Alan's Not-So-Secret World of Magic"
Alan is taking the comedy world by storm (well, less storm, more like a slightly drizzly day). In 2010 he was a finalist in Hackney Empire New Act of The Year stand up competition. Performed at The Magic castle in Hollywood (twice!), Edinburgh Festival, Galway Arts Festival and Singapore Festival as well as The Comedy Store, London.
"…being very funny indeed. He’s found a rich seam in digging at the ludicrous conventions of magic acts and as it turned out, his tricks were pretty good too." Tony Cooke, The Stage
Having been in the crazy world of magic for over 20 years, Alan will take you through some of the highlights, and lowlights of his magical career so far. A story, stand up comedy and magic - all in one.
“Funny and baffling. My kind of magic” Paul Daniels
